It was a very quiet, dignified and sober event conducted without fuss or fanfare. We met by Euston Station and walked to the memorial outside the British Medical Association. It was one of the strange things of that day that the blast should occur right outside a building stuffed with experienced senior doctors who turned their offices and courtyard into a field hospital and probably saved several lives.
Two girls, daughters of members of March for England, laid wreaths from MfE and an Iranians in England group.
We placed a vase of white carnations tied with yellow ribbon. After a few words and a minutes silence we made our way back towards Euston for some refreshment.
While we were meeting at Euston dozens of young Muslim women and girls were also gathering, one such group was in the next carriage to me, all dressed in jilbab, hijab or niqab.
It is Hizb ut Tahrir's annual UK conference this weekend taking place in the Society of Friends Meeting House on Euston Road. This was the sister's event "The Muslima in the 21st century".
We said in Tavistock Square that we will never forget. The Quakers may choose to forget this, but we will also never forget that Hizb ut Tahrir seeks to instate the Caliphate, under whose rule the whole world will be Islamic under Sharia.
Be aware, young sisters, we will never allow that.
